DECEMBER 2024

THE SECOND ATTEMPT

“We looked each other in the eye with Jürgen and the whole team and it was clear to everyone – we will come back and try it again.” Not out of spite, but out of passion and following the call of the ocean and the locals of the Seychelles, I will return and try it again. Swimming will start in December 2024. We will offer live tracking with live images here on the website and of course give live upadtes on all social media channels.

53km across the indian ocean

The distance will be around 53km from the main island of Mahé across the open Indian Ocean to the idyllic holiday island of La Digue – 15-18 hours of swimming, without any technical aids. Puristic and real, becoming a part of the ocean as a human being, swimming with the ocean and not against it.

Preparations are already underway and this time we will not only be working with scientists, metrologists and climate researchers with “theBlueHeart” in the run-up to the “Swim for the Ocean Seychelles”, but will also be collecting important data with a measuring probe and making it available for research and science.

FOR THE PEOPLE

For me, this swimming campaign is all about generating positive impulses for the people to preserve and protect the ocean, the largest ecosystem on our home planet Earth. Let yourself be taken along the journey. I’ll share my perspective with you and together we can achieve what others think is impossible.
